After reading an article on Morbid's blog, about a review of a movie that tries to show terrorists in a sympathetic light, and reading his comment section, I felt angry enough and compelled to point out a few things to those people who still believe that muslims are our friends. The muslim motto is "death to the infidels". To those who don't know what an infidel is, it is anyone who is not of that religion.

So, to ensure we Americans never offend anyone, particularly fanatics intent on killing us, airport security screeners will no longer be allowed to profile certain people. They must conduct random searches of 80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, secret agents who are members of the President's security detail, 85-year old Congressmen with metal hips, and Medal of Honor winning and former Governor Joe Foss. Not too mention normal people, like myself.
But leave Muslim Males between the ages 17 and 40 alone because they feel that they are being singled out.

Interestingly enough, the King of Sweden once stole my parking spot at Ikea. I totally had my turn signal on and everything, but he just zipped right in front of me. I got him back a few days later by punching a Swedish exchange student in the arm.
When I lived in Paris, muslim men would regularly grope my tits and ass on the street. The first time this happened, I retaliated, and the guy tried to kill me.
In their own country they make their women wear sheets and they slice off their genitals. But apparently it's OK to grope American women at will.

Well, although I agree that the Muslim religion seems to contain quite a few terrorists, I think it's pretty small minded for someone to say "ALL MUSLIM ARE TERRORISTS." Come on now...that's starting to sound a little too much like a KKK motto. Yes, there are Muslims that are terrorists but to say that all of them are, makes you sound a bit...well, uneducated. There are extremists in every religion, that doesn't mean that all people that label themselves Muslim also believe the same thing. If you read the Koran you'd also know that it states they believe in a peaceful existence. It's a shame that those extremist groups have the ability to shape an opinion about an entire group of people...but some of us are smarter than that. Don't breed hate....it's what started this mess in the first place.

Dear chic, I am smart enough to know that those people have been preaching and carrying out death to non-muslims since biblical times, and as long as people like yourself contiue to exude a turn-the-other-cheek-mentality, then your cheek will continue to get slapped. Why are all the muslims living here in the safety of the USA, not coming forward in masses to denounce the insurgents and terrorists. Why are their still groups funneling money back to them. Where are all the muslim voices on TV, Radio, and Print Ads.
It irks me to know that there are sleeper cells hiding in our country, that at any given time could decide to kill me or my family in the name of jihad. It really irks me when they live in our country and make movies that try to make me feel sympathetic to their cause, when it is my countrymen that they are planning to kill.

There happen to be a heck of a lot of Muslim countries in the world, and they are as diverse in the ways in which they implement and practice Islam as are countries in which CHristians compose the majority. The practice of clitoral excision, or female genital mutilation, is practiced by certain sects of Sunni Muslims in Algeria and Somalia, and it is a deplorable practice that needs to be stopped. But it has nothing to do with airplane hijacking, bombs, or the majority of Muslims.

I don't happen to believe any of those things...just like I don't believe all Muslims are terrorists. People learn to hate because it's learned. From your words it appears that if you ever had the chance to teach someone something...you'd teach them to hate Muslims. Hate is hate, no matter where or who it comes from.

Blue, it is guys like me who get pulled aside at airports, because most people are too fucking scared of being called a racist to offend anyone of middle-eastern descent. If I was in charge, I would ban them from airports completely, and we could all travel more efficiently, and not have to worry about crashing into buildings.

Love the post. I do not think all Muslims are out to kill us, but many of them are. Airport security got all crappy because of them and now because the say we are discriminating them it has all changed. It's a damn shame that we have become the minority in our own country!!!

Thanks Rachel, you said it better than I did. It's not just about being "PC". I don't know what the answer is. I'm not saying precautions shouldn't be taken at borders or airports. But I'm pretty darn sure that little quizzes like this one that insinuate that all Muslims are bloodthirsty fanatics don't do anything to help anything. I just feel like so many of us are taking our fear and turning it into more hatred, and all this hatred of Americans for Muslims is just adding more fuel to the fire of those who do hate everything Western.
